FCASC Vision:
FCASC wishes to be the representative body for students in Frederick County, Maryland. FCASC wishes to provide an encouraging forum for every student to present his or her concerns in hopes of bring about positive change. This goal will be upheld by facilitating communication between FCASC members from different schools and the students around the county so all opinions and ideas will be heard. We will then be responsible for the course of action that is needed to address the issues. All of the members of FCASC will work together will work together to provide a voice for the students of Frederick County
FCASC Charge for 2010-2011:
The following is a list of tasks that last year’s FCASC Executive Council believes need to be accomplished this year:
· Continue to work to encourage the small portion schools that have not been involved in FCASC to be involved
· Encourage all secondary schools to select a liaison between FCASC and the school SGA
· Develop and deliver a FCPS Specific leadership training/conference
· FCASC will raise funds for events (Green Turtle?)
· Encourage involvement of the second vice president on a more regular basis
· Use the website to publicize FCASC activities
· Continue to be involved in the Maryland Association of Student Councils (MASC)
· Continue to build on the tradition of service to the community, including the state charity drive and MLK Day
· Work with other organizations in
· Continue to actively present student voting rights as a positive gain for students and the Board of Education
· Consider additions to the platform regularly
· Encourage the implementation of committees to pursue FCASC vision and policies
· Amend the constitution in the area of unfilled positions
