May Technology PD for Teachers - Video in the Classroom
The FCPS Department of Instructional Technology will be offering a variety of technology integration professional development opportunities this year for teachers after school at various location throughout the county.
The topic for May is Video in the Classroom. Each after-school session will cover the following:
- YouTube accounts and FCPS You Tube use policy
- How to save favorite YouTube videos with your account
- How to use and embed YouTube/TeacherTube videos into PowerPoint , ActivInspire, Edmodo, your website
- The difference between embedding and inserting videos
Participants will have one hour of direct instruction and an additional optional 30 minutes to work independently exploring the tools. Teachers will be compensated for attending this PD session at the current workshop rate of $26.26 per hour.
Registration for these sessions closes on May 3rd at 8am. Confirmation emails will then be sent to participants after registration closes.
