Getting to know your teacher
Hello, I'm Chris Barnhart.   This is my 17th year of teaching Physical Education in Frederick County Public Schools.  I previously taught 8 years at Thurmont Elementary and this is my 9th year at Thurmont Primary.  I graduated from Frostburg State University and I have my Master's Degree in Education.   I live in Thurmont with my wife Jantia and our 5 year old daughter Chayney who will be attending Thurmont Primary this year!  I enjoy church, playing golf and spending time with my family.   
     In PE, my goal is to help students develop the skills, knowledge and to foster desire to enjoy a lifetime of physical activity.
