Hello!  Welcome to Mr. Clutz's staff webpage, and welcome to the third grade at Urbana Elementary School!

This is my eighth year teaching, all of which have been spent at UES.  I previously taught fourth grade for four years. This is my fourth year teaching third grade.

I strive to create a caring, safe, comfortable environment for my children each day.  I'm excited to teach, and I want my students to come to school excited to learn.  Everyday we laugh, learn, listen, and support each other in our academic endeavors. 

My educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Maryland and a Master's degree in Education Leadership from Hood College.

I take pride in maintaining an open line of communication between parents and the classroom.  Usually, I will respond to questions or comments within the day.  Phone or e-mail is the best way to contact me.

I was born, raised, and currently reside in Hagerstown, MD.  I am married to my wife, Katie.  I enjoy reading, traveling, playing and watching sports, and spending time outdoors.
