Hello First Grade Families,

I'm more than ecstatic to be teaching first grade this year.  For the past two years I was a fourth grade teacher.  My long term internship at Frostburg State University was in first grade where I received a degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. I can't wait to get to know your child!  I will do my best to meet the needs of all students.  I believe that each child has the ability to learn.

Now a little bit about myself outside of school.  We just bought a house and moved to Frederick County, after spending the past two years commuting from Carroll County.  My husband and I recently got married in December 2008. We have two nephews and a niece, Loren(12), Jaylan(3), and Olivia(8). We enjoy spending time with them on winter and summer breaks. At home we have a dog, Feebee, and a kitten, Chandler.  We can't get enough of them. They're too cute! We love having fun with them, spending time with our family, and working on "house projects." I'm currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Administration at Hood College.
